The new Porsche 911 Carrera has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 1.99 crore. The luxury sports car made its global debut earlier this week. It is available in India in two variants – Carrera and Carrera 4 GTS. The latter is the hybrid version of the 911 and is priced at Rs 2.75 crore.

Porsche 911 facelift: Everything you need to know
The Porsche 911 facelift gets targeted cosmetic updates. These include new, model-specific bumpers, standard matrix LED headlights with integrated light functions, and more. The new cosmetic changes make the 911 more streamlined and improve its aerodynamics and performance.
The Porsche Driver Experience control concept inside the 911 focuses on the driver’s axis and intuitive, faster operation. The steering wheel is integrated with the essential controls. The Porsche 911 Carrera also gets a digital instrument cluster for the first time in the car’s history. This 12.6-inch curved display has a lot of customisation options. Also onboard is a 10.9-inch high-resolution central display.
Powering the Porsche 911 Carrera is the 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 394hp and 450Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed PDK automatic gearbox.
The front fascia of the 2024 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS receives five vertically arranged active air cooling flaps visible from the outside and another hidden flap on each other. They are complemented by adaptive front diffusers in the underbody – a first for the 911. These front diffusers are controlled together with the cooling flaps and direct the airflow as required.
Powering the 911 Carrera 4 GTS is a 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine combined with an electric turbocharger. This setup puts out a maximum power output of 541hp and 610Nm of torque. It is also mated to an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission. Without the electrical assistance, the 3.6L engine puts out 478hp and 570Nm.

Bookings for the Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 GTS are now open. The automaker will start rolling out deliveries by the end of the year. In India, the 911 rivals the likes of the McLaren Artura, BMW i7, Ferrari 296 GTB, and Audi A8 L.Â
