Nissan X-Trail has been launched in India at Rs 49.92 lakh. The X-Trail is being brought to India via the Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) route. The X-Trail is only the second car in Nissan’s portfolio in India, joining the Magnite SUV. The bookings for the X-Trail have been open since July 26. Buyers can book their model of the SUV for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

The Nissan X-Trail has a modern, muscular build. The front fascia of the SUV is highlighted by the V-Motion grille. The grille is finished in dark chrome and is flanked on either side by LED DRLs. The LED headlamps are moulded into the front bumper. Along the sides, the SUV receives muscular wheel arches and R20 diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the back, the wraparound LED tail lamps follow the design language of the headlamps.

Inside, the Nissan X-Trail receives an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features of the SUV include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, Electronic Parking Brake, Auto Hold, cruise control, paddle shifters, auto-fold OVRMs, wireless charging, and more.

The India-spec version of the X-Trail has a 3-row layout. The second row will have 40/20/40 split-folding, sliding, and reclining functions. Meanwhile, the third row will have 50/50 split-folding and reclining functions.

The Nissan X-Trail is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This engine is linked to a 12V mild-hybrid setup. The X-Trail produces a combined engine output of 163hp and 300Nm. This engine system is paired with a CVT gearbox.

Conclusion

There are three colour options available for the Nissan X-Trail – Champagne Silver, Pearl White, and Diamond Black. It rivals the likes of Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, and Jeep Meridian.
