Nissan Motor India has added the option of an AMT gearbox for the CNG version of the Magnite SUV. The Nissan Magnite CNG was launched in India back in May at the starting price of Rs 6.89 lakh. The SUV comes with a retrofit CNG kit supplied at Nissan dealerships. The price of retrofitting the kit has been reduced by Rs 3,000 due to the new GST 2.0 structure. At the time of launch, the CNG kit cost Rs 75,000. It now demands a premium of Rs 72,000.

The CNG kit for the Magnite is provided by Motozen. The outfit also covers the 3-year/1 lakh km warranty for the kit. The fitment is carried out at government-approved fitment centres. Previously, the CNG filling valve on the Magnite was present in the engine compartment. In the newer models, it has been realigned with the fuel filling valve.
The retrofitted CNG kit is only available with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine of the Magnite. It is now available with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. The regular 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. The output numbers are slightly lower in the CNG model. The SUV is also available with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. This engine pumps out 100hp and 160Nm. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox.
The Magnite SUV features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 3D sound by Arkamys, cruise control, a global smart key with remote engine start, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and more. There is a unique tech pack with features like a dashcam, wireless charger, premium speakers (JBL powered by Harman), puddle lamps and LED scuff plates on offer with the SUV.
