The MG M9 MPV has been launched in India at Rs 69.90 lakh. It joins Comet, ZS, and Windsor in MG India’s all-electric portfolio. MG Motor will sell the MPV exclusively through its ‘Select’ retail outlets. MG Select is reserved for the automaker’s premium offerings. The M9 is available in a single, specced-out ‘Presidential Limousine’ trim. It can be booked for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

MG M9: Everything you need to know
The front fascia of the MG M9 MPV looks bold and futuristic. The vertically placed LED headlamps are accentuated by sleek LED DRLs. The boxy profile of the M9 gives it the signature MPV look. It rests on 19-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the LED tail lamps are connected by a light bar. The MPV gets premium chrome trims across its body. There are 3 colour options on offer: Metal Black, Pearl Lustre White, and Concrete Grey.
Inside, the MG M9 flaunts leather and suede upholstery in a tasteful brown shade. The middle row ‘Presidential’ seats are electrically adjustable and equipped with heating, cooling, and massaging functions. These reclinable seats have ottomans as well. The ‘Scenarios’ function of the M9 allows users to create custom programs for the seat, temperature, and vehicular functions. These functions can also be controlled from the armrest display.
The dashboard has a simple layout and houses a free-floating 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver’s display. The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The MPV also gets rear entertainment displays, a 13-speaker JBL sound system, a single pane sunroof at the front and a panoramic sunroof at the rear, wireless charging, V2L and V2V charging functionalities, a digital IVRM, and more.
On the safety front, the MG M9 gets 7 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, and more. There’s a Level 2 ADAS package on board as well. The MPV was awarded a 5-star rating by the Euro NCAP and Australian NCAP. It is yet to be tested by Bharat NCAP.
Powering the MG M9 is a front-mounted single electric motor. This motor generates a maximum power output of 245hp and 350Nm of torque. The 90kWh battery pack offers a driving range of up to 548km. A 160kW DC fast charger can fully charge the battery pack in 90 minutes. An 11kW AC home charger can accomplish the same feat in 10 hours. The MPV has 3 drive modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport.

As mentioned earlier, the MG M9 can be booked for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. MG Motor will kick off the delivery rollout on August 10. The M9 is one of the most affordable luxury MPVs in the Indian market. It rivals the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire.
