MG Motor India has updated the Comet EV with new features. As a result, prices for the MG Comet EV have been hiked by up to Rs 27,000. The entry-level Executive variant has not received any updates and its price remains unchanged. The Excite and Exclusive variants have received new premium features.

MG Comet EV: New features and prices
The mid-spec Excite variant of the MG Comet EV has been refreshed with some features from the top-spec Exclusive variant. These include a rear parking camera and electronically folding outside rear-view mirrors. Meanwhile, the top-spec Exclusive variant has been updated with premium leatherette upholstery and a four-speaker sound system.
The 17.3kWh battery pack on the MG Comet EV offers a driving range of 230km. This battery pack has been sourced from Tata AutoComp and is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. Using the 3.3kW charger that comes with the car, the EV can be fully charged in 7 hours. Last year, MG Motor added a 7.4kW AC charger for the Excite and Exclusive variants. This charger can fully replenish the battery pack in 3.5 hours. The EV derives power from a single electric motor that can produce a maximum power output of 42hp and 110Nm of torque.

Final Thoughts
The MG Comet EV range now starts at Rs 7 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.81 lakh. The Battery-as-a-Service models are priced between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.80 lakh. Back in January, the automaker hiked the prices for the Windsor EV as well. The Comet EV rivals Tata Tiago EV, Citroen eC3, and Tata Tigor EV.
