The new Mercedes Benz GLA facelift has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 50.50 lakh. The SUV is available in three variants – GLA 200, GLA 200d 4MATIC, and GLA 200d 4MATIC AMG Line. The top-spec variant fetches Rs 56.90 lakh. The facelifted model gets minor updates to the cosmetics and interior but remains mechanically unchanged.

Here is the price list for the new Mercedes Benz GLA.
The LED headlamps and DRLs get minor design tweaks on the new Mercedes Benz GLA. The bumper apron and the wheel arches now match the colour of the car’s body. The LED tail lamps get an updated look too. The automaker has also introduced a new paint shade for the SUV – Spectral Blue. Other than that, the GLA’s exterior remains unchanged.
Inside, the Mercedes Benz GLA facelift features a new steering wheel for the AMG Line variant. This steering wheel is integrated with touch-based controls. The dashboard has a clean layout design and features a carbon fibre finish on the passenger’s end. The centre console has a storage section and updated switchgear. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the Mercedes GLA facelift has been carried forward from the outgoing model. It runs the new MBUX software. This means the touchscreen unit now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. New themes have also been incorporated into the digital dial. Underneath the infotainment system lie the AC vents.
Other features include a new 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, twin-pane sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, powered front seats, digital key, gesture-controlled tailgate, and more. In terms of safety features, the GLA facelift gets seven airbags, automatic emergency braking, TPMS, automatic high beam assist, hill descent control, blind spot monitor, and more.
Under the hood, the Mercedes Benz GLA gets two engine options – a 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel unit. The petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 163hp and 270Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The diesel engine churns out a maximum power output of 190hp and 400Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed DCT gearbox. The petrol engine is available in a Front Wheel Drive configuration, while the diesel unit is offered with AWD.

Unlike the outgoing model, the new Mercedes Benz GLA is not available in an AMG GLA 35 trim. Bookings for the facelifted models are currently underway. In India, the SUV rivals the likes of the Volvo XC40, BMW X1, and Audi Q3.
