Italian luxury automaker, Maserati, has launched the Grecale SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 1.31 crore. Maserati Grecale is available in three variants – GT, Modena, and Trofeo. The mid and top-spec variants fetch Rs 1.53 crore and Rs 2.05 crore respectively. The automaker will also be opening new dealerships in New Delhi and Bangalore soon.

Maserati Grecale: Everything you need to know
The base variant of the Maserati Grecale is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine which is linked to a mild-hybrid setup. This engine produces a combined power output of 300hp and 450Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The GT variant of the Grecale can reach a top speed of 240kmph, going from 0-100kmph in 5.6 seconds.
Talking about the features, the Maserati Grecale GT is equipped with 12-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Also onboard is an 8-inch touchscreen for the dual-zone climate control system, a 14-speaker music system, Head-Up Display, Level 1 ADAS, and more.
The mid-spec Modena variant of the Maserati Grecale receives the same engine as the GT variant but it is tuned to produce a maximum power output of 330hp. It can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 5.3 seconds. It rests on 2-inch wheels and gets black highlights instead of chrome brushes. Inside, the SUV gets all the features from the GT variant along with heated sport seats with 14-way adjustments, a three-way climate control centre, and leather interiors.
The top-spec Maserati Grecale Trofeo is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 530hp and 620Nm of torque. It can go from 0-100kmph in just 3.8 seconds. Its top speed is capped at 285kmph. This variant also gets an electronic limited slip differential. The Trofeo rests on 21-inch wheels and its brake callipers are finished in red. The front and rear bumpers of the SUV are slightly tweaked to appear more sporty.

Conclusion
Currently, Maserati has only one dealership in India (Mumbai). It plans on expanding its network to New Delhi and Bangalore soon. The all-electric Maserati Grecale Folgore will be launched in India in the coming months. The three variants of the ICE Grecale directly rival the Porsche Macan.
