Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG: Here’s what you need to know

The design of the Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG is indistinguishable from the new-generation version of the hatchback that was launched in May. The 2024 Swift retains its iconic design while getting some tweaks for the LED headlamps, bumper, and fog lights. The alloy wheels have been redesigned as well and the door handles have been moved from the C-pillar back to their conventional position. The CNG version of the hatchback will carry special branding.

Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG gets a 7-inch Smart Pro Playtouchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Suzuki Connect, automatic climate control, rear AC vent, 60:40 split rear seats, and wireless charging. Safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, and more.

The new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E engine on the Maruti Suzuki Swift produces a maximum power output of 69hp and 102Nm of torque in a CNG guise. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The CNG version of the hatchback is not available in an automatic transmission. It has a fuel efficiency of 32.85 km/kg. Meanwhile, in a petrol configuration, the Z12E engine puts out 80hp and 112Nm. The petrol version has manual as well as AMT gearbox options. It offers a mileage of 25.75 km/l.
