Maruti Suzuki Fronx has achieved the milestone of 1 lakh exports in just 25 months since its launch. It becomes the fastest SUV that’s made in India to achieve this feat. The Fronx is manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s production facility in Gujarat. It was launched in India in April 2023 at a starting price of Rs 7.47 lakh. Its exports commenced in the same year. The Fronx is shipped from India to markets in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and other regions.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: A success in India and overseas
The sales and exports of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx have been on an upward trajectory ever since its launch. The SUV amassed 1 lakh sales within 10 months of launch. In FY2024-25, the Fronx was the most exported car from India, clocking more than 69,000 shipments. Maruti Suzuki is currently the biggest passenger vehicle exporter from India. In Q1 FY2025-26 alone, it has shipped over 96,000 vehicles. This accounts for 47% of the passenger vehicle exports from India.

Besides clocking the fastest 1 lakh exports, FRONX was also India’s number 1 exported passenger vehicle in FY 2024-25.”
Maruti Suzuki Fronx is available in two powertrain options. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine can produce a maximum power output of 100hp and 147Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Also on offer is the 1.2-litre K Series naturally aspirated petrol engine that can produce a maximum power output of 90hp and 113Nm peak torque. This engine can also be mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
Talking about features, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx packs a 9.0-inch Smart Pro Play+ infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Head Up Display, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera. The SUV shares its platform and interior layout with the Baleno.

Final Thoughts
In FY2024-25, Maruti Suzuki’s exports exceeded 3.30 lakh units. The automaker registered a 17.5% growth over the previous fiscal year. Alongside the Fronx, Jimny, Baleno, Swift and Dzire were the top exported models. Maruti currently exports 17 models to almost 100 countries.
