Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP. It is the first sedan to be crash tested by BNCAP. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways, presented the 5-star rating certificate to Mr Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited. The Dzire is one of the most popular compact sedans in India.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire: BNCAP crash test results explained
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire scored 29.46 points out of a possible 32 in the Adult Occupant Protection test conducted by BNCAP. In the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, the sedan provided good protection to the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs, and feet. The protection offered to the driver’s legs was adequate, while the chest was marginally protected.
Meanwhile, the passenger’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs, and left leg showed good protection, and the chest and right leg were protected adequately. In the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test, protection, the head and hip of the driver showed good protection, while the chest was adequately protected. The sedan offered good protection to all parts in the Side Pole Impact Test.
In the Child Occupant Protection, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire scored 41.57 points out of a possible 49. This includes a Dynamic score of 23.57 points (out of 24), a CRS installation score of 12 points (out of 12), and a Vehicle Assessment score of 6 points (out of 13).
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes with safety features like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program+ (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera, 3-point seat belts for all seats, speed-sensitive auto door locking, front seat belt with pre-tensioner & force limiter, high-speed warning alert, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and more.

Prices for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire start at Rs 6.84 lakh and go up to Rs 10.19 lakh. The automaker recently crossed the 3 million production mark for the sedan. The Dzire rivals the Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze in India.
