Maruti Suzuki Brezza is the latest offering from the automaker to cross the sales landmark of 10 lakh units. Initially launched as the Vitara Brezza in March 2016, Maruti dumped the ‘Vitara’ moniker before launching the ‘Grand Vitara’ midsize SUV. It took the Brezza 7 years to accomplish this feat. The final 1 lakh units of the SUV were sold in the last 8 months.

From April to November 2023, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,11,371 units of the SUV. This means the automaker recorded a monthly average sales figure of 13,921 units. Until November 2023, 996,608 units of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza had been sold across the country. The 10 lakh units landmark was crossed earlier this month. These numbers make the Brezza one of the highest-selling SUVs in India, closely outselling its closest rival, Tata Nexon.
Back in March 2013, Maruti Suzuki launched a CNG model for the Brezza at a starting price of Rs 9.14 lakh. The top-spec ZXi trim of the Brezza CNG fetches Rs 11.90 lakh. The diesel engine for the SUV was discontinued back in 2020. The CNG powertrain is available in three manual variants – LXi, VXi, and ZXi. The mid-spec VXi variant costs Rs 10.50 lakh.
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is the automaker’s K15C DualJet engine. This petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 101hp and 136Nm of torque. In a CNG configuration, this engine churns out 88hp and 121.5Nm. This CNG model has a claimed mileage of 25.51 km/kg. Petrol variants of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza are available with manual and automatic transmission options along with mild-hybrid tech. The CNG variants do not get the option of an automatic gearbox.
In terms of features, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza gets a free-standing 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, Arkamys-tuned sound system, wireless charging, HUD, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, ambient lighting as well as voice-command operation.

The SUV rivals the likes of Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Tata Nexon.
