2024 Land Rover Defender: What’s new?

The biggest change on the new Land Rover Defender is its powertrain. The SUV is now powered by the D350 engine which produces a maximum power output of 350hp and 700Nm of torque. This is an improvement of 50hp and 50Nm over the outgoing engine.

Inside, the Land Rover Defender gets some key cabin upgrades. The Captain Chairs pack on the Defender 130 introduces two captain seats in the middle row, replacing the bench seat. The rear seating can be accessed through the gap in the middle of the two captain seats. These captain seats are ventilated and equipped with cupholders.

The new Signature Interior Pack is standard on Defender X and V8 and optional for the Defender Dynamic HSE. This pack offers Windsor Leather and Kvadrat seats. In the front row, it also provides 14-way electrically controlled seats with heating, cooling, and memory functions.

Sedona Edition

The Sedona edition of Land Rover Defender 110 flaunts its iconic red colour complemented by the Extended Black Pack. It rests on 22-inch Gloss Black alloy wheels. The spare wheel is body coloured. The optional bonnet decal depicts the topography of the (Sedona) town.

Mark Cameron, Managing Director, Defender, said: “Our vision for Defender is to continuously improve what is already a superb vehicle that can go anywhere and do anything. The introduction of the new Sedona Edition, enhanced interior options and our most powerful ever Defender diesel engine mean our clients now have more choice than ever. And with the new Captain Chairs in Defender 130, up to seven people can now travel in greater comfort on both epic adventures and localised expeditions.”
