The GT-Line and X-Line trims get significant cosmetic upgrades over the regular variants. The GTX and GTX+ flaunt a black high-gloss finish on the roof rack and ORVMs, new front bumpers with body colour inserts and LED foglamps, body side garnish, new alloy wheel design, lime brake callipers, and metal pedals. Meanwhile, the X-Line trim gets an exclusive paint shade – Dark Gun Metal with Aurora Black Pearl. In terms of feature additions, the three new trims get digital key functionality.
The HTX+ trim has been updated with an electric sunroof. Previously, this feature was available from the HTE EX trim onwards. Meanwhile, HTK+ (O) and higher variants are available with LED headlamps, a dashcam, and a panoramic. The affordability of these features will give the midsize MPV a boost in sales.
No mechanical changes have been made to the 2026 Kia Carens Clavis. The MPV continues to be offered in 3 engine options. It is available with an iMT or a DCT gearbox. Lastly, the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit generates 160hp and 253Nm. Buyers can choose a manual or torque converter gearbox with this engine.
Mr Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President, Marketing & Sales, Kia India, said, “Indian families today are seeking vehicles that combine practicality with premium experiences. With the MY26 update to the Carens Clavis, we are responding to evolving customer preferences by introducing distinctive styling trims and expanding access to highly demanded features such as the Electric Sunroof and Panoramic Sunroof. The addition of an ADAS-equipped variant further makes premium features accessible to more customers. And with the revised trim line up and introduction of new GT-Line and X-Line trims, we are confident that we will tick all the boxes.”
