The sedan will have a wheelbase of 3,100mm. The leaks also reveal that Volvo will offer single-motor and dual-motor options for the electric sedan. The former will be a Rear-Wheel Drive while the latter will sport an All-Wheel Drive configuration. A 111kWh battery will power the S90 EV. The driving range of this battery pack is said to be 600km. This is the same battery pack as the one on the EX90.
The all-electric Volvo S90 is being manufactured by the automaker’s parent company, Geely, in China. The leak emerged from Geely’s board. The S90 could also share some attributes with Geely’s Galaxy E8 and Zeekr 7 sedans. It could also get EX90’s powertrain. The two engine variants of the SUV put out 408hp, 770Nm and 517hp, 910Nm respectively.
Not much is known about the Volvo S90 EV’s features so far. It is expected a lot of the tech that is found on the EX90. The electric SUV gets a 14.5-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and phone key technology. Safety features include Pilot Assist system, lane assist, autonomous driving (under certain conditions), and driver drowsiness alert. The EX90 makes use of a LIDAR scanner for a lot of its safety features.
