The Hyundai Venue lineup has been refreshed with a new mid-spec variant just 2 months after its launch. The new HX5+ variant sits between the HX5 and HX6 variants. It is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh. It borrows some features from the HX6 variant, making them more affordable. However, it only gets one engine and transmission option. The automaker has also added the height adjustment function to the driver’s seat in the HX4 variant.

Hyundai Venue: Here’s what you get on the HX5+ variant
The new HX5+ variant of the Hyundai Venue gets the following upgrades over the HX5 variant:
- Roof Rails
- Quad-Beam LED Headlamps
- Rear Window Sunshade
- Wireless Charging
- Driver Console Armrest with Storage
- Rear Wiper and Washer
- Driver power window with auto up/down function
The HX5+ variant of the Venue is available with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated ‘Kappa’ petrol engine only. This engine generates a maximum power output of 82hp and 114.7Nm torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Hyundai Venue also comes in turbo-petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 118hp at 6,000rpm and 172Nm of torque at 1,500-4,000rpm. This engine can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission with Idle Stop and Go (ISG). Lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine pumps out 114hp and 250Nm. It can be paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

Final Thoughts
The Hyundai Venue lineup starts at Rs 7.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.51 lakh. The dual-tone exterior paint scheme demands a premium of Rs 18,000. The SUV rivals the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
