Hyundai Motor India rolls out 10,293 deliveries this festive season

Hyundai Motor India has delivered 10,293 cars this festive season, handily doubling its tally from last year. This feat comes after the automaker sold 68,728 units last month. Hyundai is the second-largest passenger vehicle company in India and has had a very fruitful festive season this year. The automaker recently standardised 6 airbags and 3-point seatbelts (for all passengers) across its catalogue in India.

Hyundai Motor India doubles its festive season delivers from last year

The automaker announced that the figure of 10,293 deliveries is more than twice of what it was able to achieve last year. In October alone, Hyundai Motor India amassed 68,728 units in sales. Of these 68,728 units, 55,128 cars were sold domestically in the Indian market, while 13,600 units were exported overseas.

Hyundai Motor India‘s catalogue currently consists of 11 offerings – Grand i10 Nios, i20 (N Line), Aura, Verna, Exter, Venue (N Line), Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, Ioniq 5, and Kona Electric. The automaker exports Grand i10, i20, Venue, Verna, Creta, and Creta Grand from India to overseas markets in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

Commenting on the festive delivery numbers, Mr Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “Hyundai Motor India marked the auspicious day of Dhanteras by delivering an unprecedented 10,293 units, surpassing last year’s figure by more than double. This huge number of deliveries stands as a testament to the overwhelming admiration our customers have for the Hyundai brand. It also reflects a clear preference for Hyundai vehicles especially post the announcement of six airbags as standard safety features across all our models and variants.”

Hyundai Motor India’s newest offering is the micro SUV Exter, with prices starting at Rs 6 lakh. The top-spec SX (O) Connect Automatic trim of the Exter fetches Rs 10 lakh. The SUV stands at dimensions of 3,815mm x 1,710mm x 1,631mm and gets a boxy nose and an upright stance. It is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 83hp and 114Nm of torque. It is decked with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto support, a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster with support for multiple Indian languages, a single pane sunroof, a dashcam, and more.

In other news, Hyundai plans on opening its first Smart Urban Mobility Hub this month.  Located in Singapore, Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) will redefine the future of mobility production and set new standards in customer experience when it opens on November 21, 2023.
