Hyundai India has taken the wraps off the facelifted version of the Alcazar SUV next month. Bookings for the SUV are currently open for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Hyundai Alcazar will launch in India on September 9. There are four trims and two seat layouts on offer. The Alcazar is one of Hyundai’s premium SUVs in India. Its facelifted model receives some cosmetic and instrumentation updates but remains the same under the hood.

The new Hyundai Alcazar facelift will be offered in four trims – Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. The front fascia of the SUV resembles the recently launched Creta facelift. The upright nose of the Alcazar flaunts a patterned grille. The LED headlamps lie on either side of the grille. Above this grille runs a sleek light bar that connects the two H-shaped LED DRLs. The tail lamps mimic the pattern of the DRLs. An LED light bar connects the two tail lamps as well. Along the slides, the SUV rests on 18-inch alloys.
Hyundai has not revealed the interior of the Alcazar facelift yet. Its dashboard design may be similar to Creta’s. The facelifted model will get significant instrumentation upgrades compared to the outgoing model. This will include a larger infotainment system. Top-spec variants of the SUV will also get connected car tech and a Level 2 ADAS package.
Things will remain the same under the hood as the Hyundai Alcazar facelift will retain the powertrain of the outgoing model. The SUV is offered in two powertrain options – a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former produces a maximum power output of 160hp and 253Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine on the Alcazar puts out 113hp and 250Nm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed torque converter gearbox.
