Honda Car India has dropped the first teaser image for the next-gen Amaze sedan. The automaker will launch the 3rd-gen Honda Amaze in India on December 4. The compact sedan will retain its powertrain but feature significant cosmetic and instrumentation upgrades. The Amaze sedan made its debut in India in 2013. Its 2nd-generation version was introduced in 2018.

3rd-gen Honda Amaze: What to expect?
The teaser image published by Honda reveals some interesting details about the Amaze sedan. Its LED headlamps look sleeker and sharper than the outgoing version. The grille is wider and features a honeycomb pattern. Right below the grille lies an air inlet. The fog lamp housings are positioned on either end of the bumper. Honda has taken design inspiration for the grille from the international model of Honda Civic.
Not much is known about the interior layout of the upcoming Honda Amaze. Since it will primarily rival the Dzire sedan, it will have comparable instrumentation and features. It may borrow the free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Elevate SUV. We expect it to take styling cues from the City sedan. While it won’t get high-end features like ADAS, Honda may equip the sedan with a single-pane sunroof.
The next-gen Honda Amaze will continue to be powered by the 1.2-litre iVTEC naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 89hp and 110Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a CVT gearbox. Honda discontinued the 1.5-litre iDTEC diesel engine from the Amaze lineup back in 2022. This engine was capable of producing a peak power output of 100hp and 200Nm peak torque.

Conclusion
Prices for the current-gen Honda Amaze start at Rs 7.20 lakh and go up to Rs 9.96 lakh. We expect the next-gen Amaze range to start at Rs 8 lakh. Upon launch, the compact sedan will rival the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura.
