Toyota Kirloskar Motor has added a new GX (O) variant to the Innova HyCross range. The GX (O) variant unseats the GX variant as the top-spec model of the MPV. Prices for the Toyota Innova HyCross GX (O) start at Rs 20.99 lakh and go up to Rs 21.13 lakh. Toyota has kicked off the delivery rollout as well. Toyota Innova HyCross GX (O): What’s new?

The GX (O) variant of Toyota Innova HyCross gets a bunch of new features. The top-spec variant of the MPV comes with front LED fog lamps, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear defogger. Inside, the MPV gets Chestnut-themed interiors, soft-touch materials in the dashboard and door panels, mid-grade fabric sheets, and a rear sunshade. The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay. It also gets automatic climate control and a panoramic view monitor.

The GX (O) variant of the Innova HyCross is available in 7 and 8-seater configurations. Interestingly, the 8-seater model is priced lower than its 7-seater counterpart. The latter fetches Rs 21.13 lakh. This is because the 8-seat version is not available with the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and retractable sunshade.

The top-spec Toyota Innova Hycross is available in seven paint shades – Blackish Ageha Glass Flake, Platinum White Pearl, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Super White and Avant Garde Bronze Metallic.

Things remain the same under the hood as the Toyota Innova HyCross GX (O) is powered by the 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 174hp and 205Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a CVT gearbox. The MPV offers a fuel economy of 16.13kmpl.

Commenting on the new introduction, Mr Sabari Manohar, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “At TKM, we are constantly listening to the market needs thus ensuring that every vehicle we offer aligns with the evolving needs of our customers. The New Innova HyCross petrol GX (O) grade is a testament to this philosophy which offers enhanced comfort and advanced technology carefully blending the spirit of luxury and efficiency. While the performance remains top-class, the 10+ features is expected to strongly resonate with customers who are looking for a fully loaded petrol version with an attractive proposition aimed at meeting their evolving lifestyle requirements.

Furthermore, we express our gratitude to our customers for their overwhelming acceptance, not only of the Innova HyCross but also of our entire product portfolio. Our commitment to a customer-first approach will continue to drive us, inspiring the creation of innovative products and services in the future.”

Conclusion

As mentioned earlier, Toyota Kirloskar Motor started the delivery rollout of the new variant of the Innova HyCross on the day of its launch. Earlier this month, the automaker had reopened the bookings for the ZX and ZX (O) variants of the MPV. The Innova HyCross rivals the likes of the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and Kia Carnival.
