Earlier this month, Tata took the wraps off the Harrier EV. Tata Harrier EV is available in 2 battery pack options – 65kWh and 75kWh. At the time of launch, the driving range numbers of only the 75kWh battery pack were revealed. Today, the automaker has put an end to the suspense and announced the mileage of the smaller, more affordable, 65kWh battery pack.

Tata Harrier EV: A closer look at the driving range numbers
The 65kWh battery pack of the Tata Harrier EV has an ARAI-certified range of 538km. The C75 drive cycle, which is Tata’s internal testing method, puts the driving range of this battery pack between 420-445km. Using a 7.2kW home AC charger, this battery unit can reach 100% charge in 9.3 hours. Meanwhile, a 100kW DC fast charger can accomplish the same feat in just 25 minutes. The 65kWh battery pack variants are available in an RWD configuration only. The rear-mounted single electric motor on these variants generates a maximum power output of 238hp and 315Nm of torque.
The 75kWh battery pack variants are available in RWD and AWD configurations. They offer an ARAI-certified driving range of 627km and 622km, respectively. Tata’s C75 drive cycle puts the driving range of the RWD variants between 480-505km and AWD variants between 460-490km. This battery pack takes 10.7 hours to reach a 100% charge using a 7.2kW AC home charger. A 100kW DC fast charger can fully replenish it in 25 minutes.
The AWD variants of the Tata Harrier EV are powered by a dual electric motor. This electric motor generates a maximum power output of 396hp and 504Nm of torque. The front motor alone puts out 158hp.
Talking about the features, the Tata Harrier EV gets the world’s first Samsung Neo QLED automotive display for its 14.53-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is also packed with a 10-speaker JBL audio system, digital key, smart card, remote key, built-in navigation, memory seating, rear headrests, centre armrest with cupholders, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, a dual-zone climate control, cooled storage, an air purifier, ambient lighting, 65W wireless charging, and more.

Final Thoughts
So far, Tata has only revealed the prices for the RWD variants of the Harrier EV. The base variant is priced at Rs 21.49 lakh. The Empowered 75 model, which is the most specced-out RWD variant you can get for the Harrier EV, is priced at Rs 27.49 lakh. Prices for the AWD variants will be revealed on June 27. The electric SUV rivals the Mahindra XEV 9e, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, and Hyundai Creta Electric in India.
