Citroen C3 Aircross: What’s on offer?

Citroen C3 Aircross is available in three variants – You, Plus, and Max. The You variant has been priced at Rs 9.99 lakh. The C3 Aircross is based on the same CMP platform as its hatchback cousin. The midsize SUV has dimensions of 4,323mm x 1,796mm x 1,669mm and a wheelbase of 2,671mm. The 5-seater base variant has a boot space capacity of 511 litres.

The You variant of Citroen C3 Aircross is only available with a 5-seat configuration. The Plus and Max variants will also get the option of a 7-seat configuration. Since the You variant is priced very aggressively, it misses out on some important features. For instance, it does not get the touchscreen infotainment system that is available with the other two variants. It also lacks a speaker system, USB charging, roof-mounted AC vents, and features like a reverse camera and rear wiper & defogger. However, the automaker has not skimped on the safety front, decking the SUV with two airbags, ABS, ESC, TPMS, hill-hold assist, and other features.

Under the hood, the Citroen C3 Aircross gets a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 190Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. There is neither an option for an automatic transmission nor does the SUV get any other powertrains. The C3 Aircross offers a mileage of 18.5 kmpl.

While Citroen has not announced the pricing for the Plus and Max variants, they are expected to be priced at Rs 11.30 lakh and Rs 11.90 lakh respectively. The 7-seater variants will carry a premium of Rs 35,000. In India, Citroen C3 rivals Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
