2023 Hyundai Venue: New transmission options explained
The iMT gearbox option was previously available on three Hyundai Venue variants – S(O), SX(O), and SX(O) dual tone. The iMT gearbox in these variants has now been replaced with the six-speed manual gearbox. The reason behind the discontinuation of the iMT gearbox seems to be the lack of demand from buyers, who choose to go the fully manual or automatic route.
Buyers can pair the manual transmission with both petrol and manual powertrains. The 6-speed manual gearbox is available on the following trims with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine – S(O), SX(O), SX(O) dual tone, Knight Edition, and SX(O) Knight dual tone Edition. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine can be paired with the manual gearbox on the following trims – S+, SX, SX dual tone, SX(O), and SX(O) dual tone. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine puts out 120hp and 172Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine generates 116hp and 250Nm.
The N-Line edition of Hyundai Venue also gets the 6-speed manual gearbox on the N6, N8, and N8 dual-tone trims. The top-spec SX(O) and N8 of Hyundai Venue and Venue N-Line also get an ADAS package. This package includes features like Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (Car, Cycle, and Pedestrian), Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Following Assist, High Beam Assist, and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert.
