Citroen C3 Aircross EV: What’s on offer?
The Citroen C3 Aircross is based on the same Smart Car platform as the C3 crossover. The updated version of the SUV gets a more upright nose, a bold front fascia, and the new Citroen logo on the grille. In comparison, the India-spec version of the SUV is based on the CMP platform. The European C3 Aircross is available in 5 and 7-seat configurations.
The ICE variant of the new Citroen C3 Aircross is powered by a 3-cylinder PureTech Turbo 100 MT6 engine that produces a maximum power output of 100hp. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The 48V hybrid engine uses the new-generation 1.2 PureTech engine and produces a combined output of 136hp. This engine is mated to a DCT gearbox.
The Citroen C3 Aircross EV is powered by an electric motor that produces a maximum power output of 113hp. The 44kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery pack offers a driving range of 300km. A Mode 3 cable is offered as a standard accessory to charge the SUV. Using 7kW of power, the SUV can be charged from 20% – 80% in 4 hours and 10 minutes. This number drops down to 2 hours and 50 minutes when the SUV uses 11kW of power. Using a 100kW DC fast charger, the battery pack can be charged from 20% – 80% in just 26 minutes.
“From the beginning of the project, we wanted to reinforce the C3 Aircross’s position in the world of SUVs. We opted for a robust and assertive design, with styling that adds muscle and strength. With over 20 cm of ground clearance, a raised driving position and subtle plays of light in its design, the all-new C3 Aircross takes the next step and becomes a real SUV”, said Boris Reinmoller, C3 Aircross design project manager.
