9-seater Mahindra Bolero Neo+ launched at a starting price of Rs 11.39 lakh

Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Bolero Neo+ in India at a starting price of Rs 11.39 lakh. The new Mahindra Bolero Neo+ has a 9-person seating capacity and a three-row layout. The top-spec P10 variant of the SUV fetches Rs 12.49 lakh. As expected, the Neo+ is longer than the sub-4m Bolero Neo. The two SUVs differ under the hood as well.

Mahindra Bolero Neo+: What’s on offer?

The front fascia of the new Mahindra Bolero Neo+ is not radically different from the Bolero Neo. The housings for the fog lamps get a slight design tweak. The Neo+ is 4,400mm in length. Meanwhile, the Bolero Neo is 3,995mm long. The additional length is covered by a rear quarter glass for the third row. The body panels of the rear doors are also new on the Neo+. The SUV also rocks new 16-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the Neo+ gets wraparound tail lamps.

Inside, the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ gets the same dashboard layout as the Bolero Neo. It gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new steering wheel design with Mahindra’s Twin Peaks logo studded at the centre. Other features include electrically adjustable wing mirrors, a 6-speaker sound system, power windows, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX mounts.

What separates the Bolero Neo+ from its namesake is its 9-person seating capacity. The SUV gets a 2+3+4 seating layout. The two benches in the third seating row face each other and can accommodate a total of 4 passengers.

Under the hood, the Mahindra Bolero Neo+ get the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine from the Scorpio. This engine produces a maximum power output of 120hp and 280Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel powering the Bolero Neo produces a maximum output of 100hp.

Conclusion

The Mahindra Bolero Neo+ is available in P4 and P10 trims. Its Bolero Neo counterpart is priced between Rs 9.90 lakh – Rs 12.16 lakh. The Neo+ is available in three paint shades – Napoli Black, Majestic Silver, and Diamond White. It rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Kia Sonet.
