2025 Kia Carens to debut on May 8

Kia India is planning to launch the facelifted version of the Carens MPV next month. The Kia Carens facelift will be unveiled on May 8. However, the facelift will not replace the outgoing model in Kia’s portfolio. Instead, it will be given a new suffix. The ICE model of the 2025 Carens will be followed by an all-electric variant.

The new Kia Carens will get comprehensive cosmetic upgrades. The front fascia will feature redesigned headlamps, a sleeker grille, and a restyled bumper. Not much is known about the interior of the new Kia Carens so far. It will likely retain the dashboard and cabin layout of the current model with very minimal changes. Kia may introduce new theme options for the dashboard and upholstery. The dashboard and door trims may also receive an upgrade.

In terms of feature and instrumentation upgrades, the 2025 Kia Carens will get a larger infotainment system and digital instrument cluster than the current model. Buyers will also get the option to equip the rear captain seats with entertainment displays. It will also feature a Level 2 ADAS package and a 360-degree camera. The current-gen model comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seating, paddle shifters, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

The NA petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 115hp and 144Nm of torque. The diesel engine puts out 116hp and 250Nm. Lastly, the turbo-petrol unit generates 160hp and 253Nm.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the current-gen Kia Carens start at Rs 10.60 lakh and go up to Rs 19.70 lakh. The facelifted model will demand a small premium. We expect its prices to start at Rs 11.50 lakh. Upon launch, the MPV will rival Maruti Suzuki XL6, Toyota Rumion, and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
