Honda Dio 125: Everything you need to know

The new Honda Dio 125 gets a new ‘sporty’ front design. The new headlamp is edgier and the position lamp is sleeker than before. The dual outlet muffler with chrome cover produces a unique exhaust note, in line with the sporty design element of the scooter. The scooter also gets new graphics and an updated logo.

The most important feature of the Honda Dio 125 is its powertrain. Powering the scooter is the OBD2-compliant 125cc PGM-FI engine boosted by eSP. This is the same engine that does duty on the Activa 125. It is capable of producing a maximum power output of 8.3hp and 10.4Nm torque. The scooter gets telescopic suspension and a ground clearance of 171mm.

Talking about the features, the Honda Dio 125 gets a fully digital meter that displays all the important infographics like fuel efficiency, range, trip, clock, side stand indicator, malfunction indicator, and more. It also gets an idling stop system and an engine inhibitor for the side stand. The under-seat compartment has a storage capacity of 12 litres. The Smart variant of the Honda Dio 125 gets the Smart Key with H-Smart technology. This unlocks features like Smart Unlock, Smart Find, Smart Start, Smart Safe, and Lock Mod.

Introducing the all-new Dio 125, Mr Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “At HMSI, we believe in pushing boundaries and redefining the riding experience for our customers. All set to establish new benchmarks, Dio 125 is a combination of sporty design, advanced technology, and compelling convenience. We are proud to present a masterpiece that is not just a head-turner due to its unique styling but also offers cutting-edge features and seamless functionality.
