Bajaj Pulsar 250cc series launched in India

The new Bajaj Pulsar 250cc series was launched with a new muscular profile and fresh look. The company focused on giving the bike a more future-ready look as the other bikes in its fleet are getting pretty outdated. There are two bikes to offer with this new displacement. The more prominent front fairing extending all the way to the tank shroud is the new F250. While the muscular and sporty naked variant is the new N250. Apart from the faring, we can see the difference in the placement of the rearview mirror.

The F250 comes with the mirror installed on the front fairing while the same unit is used for N250 but they are placed on the handlebar. The naked pulsar has a lower set handlebar as compared to slightly raided in F250. Footpeg placement is shared by both the bikes which is a comfortable upright posture ideal for city and long rides. Few of the commonly shared features include crash guard, engine cowl, split seats, side-mounted twin-barrel exhaust, rear tyre hugger and rear LED taillight.

Features

Both the bikes use an LED Projector Unipod Headlamp unit with flanking reverse-boomerang LED DRLs for the enhanced viewing experience. These new headlamps have a uniform and accurate beam pattern for improved safety. The instrument cluster used is a semi-digital unit retaining the badge of thrill. The new improved digital console shows important information like the gear positioning and distance to empty. Suspension duties are done by upside-down forks in the front and a new improved monoshock suspension for the rear to pinpoint handling and comfort.

For braking, Bajaj used 300 mm front and 230 mm rear which are bigger than other pulsars, along with dual-channel ABS technology. Another important add-on by the company is a USB mobile charging port conveniently placed near the tank flap for battery charging solutions of devices on the go.

Engine

This time the engine is not shared with KTM, Husqvarna or its own Dominar 250. This engine is a completely new uint producing 24.5 PS of power at 8750 RPM and 21.5 Nm of peak torque at 6500 RPM. The engine is coupled with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The tank capacity of both bikes is 14 litres.

The bike can be booked at the nearest showroom or even online. The starting price of the Bajaj Pulsar N250, naked streetfighter style motorcycle is Rs 1.38 lakh ex-showroom, India. While the other semi-faired Bajaj Pulsar F250 starts at Rs 1.40 lakh ex-showroom, India.
