Hyundai Aura
Hyundai Aura is a good pick and can be selected if one needs more space as compared to its sibling i10 Nios. The car retails between Rs 5.97 lakh and Rs 9.35 lakh ex-showroom. Talking about the engine of the car.Â
It comes with three engine options first the 1.2-litre petrol producing 83PS power and 114 Nm of torque and for the diesel, the variant is a 1.2-litre diesel 75 PS/190 Nm unit from the Grand i10 Nios and the top of the line 1.0-litre turbo-petrol produces 100 PS and peak of 172 Nm. The S variant can also be bought with a company fitted CNG kit. The petrol and Diesel variant comes with a 5-speed manual and automatic transmission while on the other hand the Turbo variant only in Manual transmission.

Coming from an Indian car manufacturing company it is one of the safest cars in this price segment scoring 4 stars out of 5 in GNCAP. Tata has availed its consumers with six variants of Tigor just like its hatchback sibling Tiago XE, XM, XZ, XZ+, XMA, and XZA+. Recently the company has also released an EV variant of the car. The price of Tata Tigor starts at Rs 5.64 Lakh and goes up to Rs 7.81 Lakh ex-showroom.
For the fuel variant, the car comes with only one engine option i.e. a 1,199cc 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 86 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque, the transmission is mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox for upper variants.
The car is featured pack in this price segment with push-button start/stop, keyless entry, automatic climate control AC, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system tuned by Herman and paired with 8 JBL speakers with support of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a digital instrument cluster which company recently updated.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Maruti Suzuki is very popular in the Indian market for its reliable engines and resale value. Maruti retails the Dzire from Rs 5.98 lakh to Rs 9.02 lakh ex-showroom India. The company recently made some changes for its facelift models and also rumoured that there will be a CNG variant for Dzire launching anytime soon.
The sedan is available in the market paired with a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine churning out 90PS power along with a peak torque of 113 Nm, transmission on offer is a 5-speed manual or AMT in option. Its claimed fuel efficiency stands at 23.26kmpl which is one of the best in the market with the MT and 24.12kmpl when paired with an AMT transmission.
Talking about the features, Dzire comes with cruise control, automatic LED headlamps, auto-folding ORVMs, push-button engine start-stop, and auto climate control AC with and rear AC vents. Maruti Suzuki facelifted Dzire recently adding a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the support of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity as well as cloud-based services adding to it is a 4.2-inch multi-colour MID that shows plenty of useful driving information.

Honda Amaze
Honda Amaze has been facelifted recently and had few interior and cosmetic changes. The new facelift Amaze is priced from Rs 6.32 lakh to Rs 11.15 lakh ex-showroom and is available in 3 trims which are E, S and VX which is the top variant on offer.
The company is offering the facelifted Amaze with the same 1.2-litre petrol producing 90PS and max torque of 110Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel engines produce 100PS of maximum power and 200 Nm of max torque as before. Both the engines are paired with a standard 5-speed manual transmission along with an optional CVT. The diesel CVT, however, produces slightly less power, with the power of 80PS and 160Nm of torque.
The facelifted sedan gets auto-LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps and tail lamps, and 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels on later trims. Other features retained from the pre-facelift model include the 7-inch smart touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, and paddle shifters for CVT only.

Ford Aspire
The older sibling of Ford Figo, Aspire is spacious and has tons of features to offer by the company. Ford is known for its refined and reliable engines that are fuel-efficient as well. The company has recently reintroduced its automatic gearbox for the Indian market and has recalled a selected diesel variant.
Ford Aspire comes with 2 engine options for the Indian market. The first one to offer is powered by 1.2-litre petrol producing a maximum of 96PS of power and peak torque of 119Nm. The other option provided by the company is a 1.5-litre diesel mill churning out a max of 100 PS and 215Nm of maximum torque. Both are only available with a 5-speed manual and a recent introduction of an automatic variant for its petrol engine only. Mileage figures are pretty good as well with 18.5kmpl for petrol and 24.4kmpl for diesel.
Even if the car has not been updated recently the features offered by the company are pretty decent. These include auto headlamps, auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, Ford Pass connected car tech, and push-button start/stop for the higher trims.
