Safety features include 6 airbags (standard), a 360-degree camera, ABS, front parking sensors, cruise control, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensor, traction control, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child anchorages.

Dr Vikraman Vellandi, Head – Renault Engineering, Renault Group India, said, “Developing the Triber 100PS required much more than integrating a new powertrain. Delivering 100 PS and 180 Nm of torque while retaining the Triber’s modularity, comfort and efficiency required the engine, thermal-management, structural, suspension, braking and vehicle-dynamics systems to work together as one package. The result is a responsive, stable and refined driving experience that preserves the practicality and accessibility customers value in the Triber.”

Final Thoughts

With the turbo-petrol engine out of the way, Renault is planning to introduce a CNG option for its midsize MPV next. The CNG powertrain will be based on the turbo-petrol engine. The dual-fuel cylinders will be placed under the boot floor. Currently, the Triber is available with an aftermarket CNG kit only. The MPV rivals the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Rumion, and Kia Carens in India.
