The Renault Duster is set to make its comeback in India after 4 years. The SUV was first launched in the country back in 2012. After a decade of service, it was discontinued in 2022. Its new India-spec model was unveiled by Renault on January 26, 2026. Pre-bookings for the SUV have been open since then. Renault has now announced that the Duster will get a formal launch on March 17, 2026.

Renault Duster: What to expect?
The India-spec Renault Duster is 4,343mm long, 1,813mm wide, 1,659mm tall, and has a 2,657mm wheelbase. Its front-fascia has sleek LED headlamps and eyebrow DRLs. The glossy grille features the ‘DUSTER’ lettering instead of the Renault logo. The front bumper has a silver frame. It is flanked on either side by vertically stacked fog lamp units.
Along the sides, the SUV flaunts 17-inch all-black alloy wheels and black cladding on the wheel arches. The door handles are mounted on the black C-pillar. The roof rails receive a black finish, too. The rear section features a roof-mounted spoiler and a textured finish on the number plate. Unlike the international model, the LED tail lamps on the India-spec variant are connected by a light bar.
Inside, the Renault Duster is packed with exciting features. Its dashboard is equipped with a twin display setup comprising a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. There’s support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV also gets dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and ventilated front seats. The cabin is finished with soft-touch materials and premium trims.
Safety features on the new Duster SUV include airbags, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and more. It also gets a Level 2 ADAS package, which makes it the first Renault car in India to come with this feature.
Renault has 3 engine options planned for the Duster, but it will offer only 2 of them at launch – 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo petrol engines. The former generates a maximum power output of 100hp and 160Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission only. The latter produces 163hp and 280Nm. It can be linked to a 6-speed manual or DCT gearbox.
The SUV will receive a strong-hybrid powertrain by Diwali. This setup will comprise a 109hp-producing 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine linked to a 49hp electric motor and a 20hp HSG. There will be a 1.4kWh (280V) battery onboard. The total engine output will be 160hp and 172Nm.
