Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has hiked the prices for the Glanza hatchback. Toyota Glanza was updated with 6 airbags as a standard feature last month. The mid-spec S trim has received the highest price hike of Rs 12,000. The top-spec V trim, which already offered 6 airbags, has not received a price hike. The Glanza remains Toyota’s most affordable offering in India, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh.

Apart from 6 airbags, the safety features on the Toyota Glanza include ABS with EBD, a speed alert system, an automatic door lock, parking sensors, hill assist, and more. It comes with creature comforts like a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, a Heads-Up display and more. The hatchback also gets Toyota’s i-Connected platform, which offers additional connected car tech options like remote access and control, find my car, tow alert, and geo-fencing.
Mechanically, the Toyota Glanza has not received any changes. The hatchback continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre K Series petrol engine. This is the same engine that powers the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It generates a maximum power output of 90hp and 113Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.
CNG variants of the Toyota Glanza generate a maximum power output 77hp and 98.5Nm. They offer a fuel efficiency of 30.61km/kg. The CNG models have a 55-litre tank in the boot and weigh 48kg more than the standard petrol model.

Final Thoughts
Even after the price hike, Toyota Glanza is the automaker’s most affordable car in India. Its top-spec variant fetches less than Rs 10 lakh. The hatchback rivals the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, and Hyundai i20.
