Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has added a special edition model to the Camry Hybrid’s lineup. Based on the Elegance trim, the Toyota Camry Sprint Edition is priced at Rs 48.50 lakh. The Sprint Edition gets a dealer-level accessory pack that adds cosmetic and feature enhancements to the sedan. Interestingly, the special edition model does not demand a premium price over the variant that it is based on.

Toyota Camry Sprint Edition: What’s new?
The new accessory pack on the Sprint Edition of the Toyota Camry adds cosmetic highlights to the front and rear bumpers. A rear spoiler has been added to the boot lid. The alloy wheels have been blacked out. The special edition sedan has a dual-tone exterior colour theme. The engine hood, roof, and trunk receive a matte black finish. There are 5 colour options on offer – Emotional Red & Matte Black, Platinum White Pearl & Matte Black, Cement Grey & Matte Black, Precious Metal & Matte Black, Dark Blue Metallic & Matte Black.

Inside, the Toyota Camry Sprint Edition gets door warning lamps and ambient lighting as a part of the sporty accessory package. It retains the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the regular model. Other features include a digital driver’s display, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, powered and ventilated front seats, a 3-zone climate control system, and wireless charging.
On the safety front, the Toyota Camry rocks 9 SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Electronic Parking Brake with Brake Hold, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, and a 360° Panoramic View Monitor. The Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 package consists of features like Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with full-speed range, Lane Departure Alert, Lane Tracing Assist, and Automatic High Beam.

Things remain the same under the hood as the Toyota Camry Sprint Edition continues to be powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine. This engine can generate a maximum power output of 187hp and 221Nm by itself. Paired with a strong hybrid system, its power output jumps to 230hp. The engine is mated to an eCVGT transmission. The sedan offers a fuel efficiency of 25.49 km/l. There are drive modes on offer – Sport, Eco, and Normal.

Bookings for the Sprint Edition are now open. Buyers can reserve their unit on Toyota’s official website or retail outlets. The automaker is offering an 8-year/160,000-km warranty (whichever comes first) on the sedan. Toyota Camry continues to rival Skoda Superb, BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine, Audi A4, and Mercedes C-Class in India.
