Volkswagen India is offering discounts worth up to Rs 1.26 lakh on 2 of its most popular offerings in the country. The Volkswagen Virtus sedan has received offers worth up to Rs 1.26 lakh. Meanwhile, the Taigun SUV is available with a discount package worth Rs 1.04 lakh. Interestingly, the Tiguan has not received any offers this month. The automaker has also shaved off the starting price of the Taigun and Virtus, while hiking the prices of the rest of the variants.

Maximum Discount: Rs 1.26 lakh
The entry-level Comfortline MT variant of the Volkswagen Virtus is available with discounts worth up to Rs 1.26 lakh. The Highline Plus AT and GT Line AT get Rs 1 lakh and Rs 80,000 off, respectively. The GT Plus Chrome DSG and GT Plus Sport DSG are available with exchange offers worth Rs 30,000. After the recent price adjustment, the Volkswagen Virtus range starts at Rs 10.50 lakh. However, prices for the remaining variants have been increased in the range of Rs 10,000 – Rs 51,000.
The Volkswagen Virtus comes in 2 engine options. The 1.5-litre TSI generates a maximum power output of 150hp and 250Nm of peak torque. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre TSI engine produces a maximum power output of 115hp and 178Nm of peak torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Maximum Discount: Rs 1.04 lakh
Like the Virtus, the entry-level Comfortline MT variant of the Taigun SUV receives the biggest discount package this month, valued at Rs 1.04 lakh. The Highline Plus AT and GT Line Plus AT get Rs 1 lakh and Rs 80,000 off, respectively. The GT Plus Chrome and GT Plus Sport DSG are available with exchange bonuses worth Rs 50,000.
After the price adjustment, the Taigun range starts at Rs 10.58 lakh in India. Earlier, its starting price was set at Rs 11.42 lakh. The rest of the variants have received a uniform price hike of Rs 4,000. The Taigun shares its powertrain with the Virtus.

As mentioned earlier, these discounts are only available on the Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun. They will expire on January 31.
