Using the 3.3kW charger that comes with the car, the EV can be fully charged in 7 hours. Last year, MG Motor added a 7.4kW AC charger for the Excite and Exclusive variants. This charger can fully replenish the battery pack in 3.5 hours. The EV derives power from a single electric motor that can produce a maximum power output of 42hp and 110Nm of torque.
In March 2025, MG Motor updated the mid-spec Excite variant of the Comet EV with some premium features from the top-spec Exclusive trim. These included a rear parking camera and electronically folding outside rear-view mirrors. Meanwhile, the Exclusive trim was updated with premium leatherette upholstery and a four-speaker sound system. The urban commuter is packed with dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and the instrument cluster. The steering sports a two-spoke design with integrated controls. The cabin exudes a unique look due to the central console being detached from the dashboard. There are a total of 55 connectivity features onboard.
