The Tekton looks similar to its Renault counterpart along the sides. The only distinguishing element is the design of the 18-inch alloy wheels. The flared wheel arches exude a bold look. The rear door handles are mounted on the C-pillar. The front doors have pull-type handles. They are also integrated with a silver trim for a premium appearance. At the back, the LED tail lamps follow the C-shaped design language of the front DRLs. They are connected by a light bar. The ‘TEKTON’ lettering is studded on the tailgate.

The cabin of the Nissan Tekton gets a dual-tone beige & burgundy colour theme with rose accents. The seats are draped in leatherette upholstery and are equipped with adjustable headrests. The dashboard houses a free-standing 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. There is wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity on board. Other features include natural voice commands, an ‘Infinity View’ panoramic sunroof, 6-way powered front seats with ventilation, an Arkamys 3D sound system, an air purifier with AQI display, dual-zone air conditioning, ambient lighting, wireless charging with active cooling, and more.

On the safety front, the Tekton packs 6 airbags and over 40 other standard features. These are supported by 360-degree Parking Assist and a 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor. The SUV has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP.

As mentioned earlier, the Nissan Tekton comes in 2 engine options. The 1-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 100hp and 166Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission only. It can accelerate the SUV from 0-100km/h in 12.46 seconds. The mileage on offer is 19.4km/l. The 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine produces 163hp and 280Nm. It can be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed DCT. These transmissions offer a fuel economy of 17.8 and 18.5 km/l, accelerating the SUV from 0-100km/h in 9.51 and 9.89 seconds, respectively.
