Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift’s mileage specs revealed

The facelifted version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza went on sale in India on Friday. Prices for the SUV start at Rs 7.40 lakh. It comes in 4 trim levels – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+ – and 3 powertrain options – 1L turbo-petrol, 1.5L NA petrol, and 1.5L CNG. Maruti has now revealed the fuel economy numbers of all three powertrains.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift: Take a look at the SUV’s mileage specs

The new 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine of the Brezza facelift has been borrowed from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 170Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The LXi and VXi variants with this powertrain offer a mileage of 20.47km/l, while the ZXi and ZXi+ variants offer 19.96km/l.

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, carried forward from the outgoing model, puts out 103hp and 139Nm. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The LXi and VXi manual variants offer a fuel economy of 21.09km/l, while the ZXi MT variant offers 20.81km/l. All three automatic variants (VXi, ZXi, ZXi+) have a mileage of 20.17km/l.

Lastly, the CNG powertrain, based on the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, generates a maximum power output of 88hp and 121.5Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This powertrain offers a fuel economy 26.90km/kg across all three variants – LXi, VXi, and ZXi. The underbody CNG tank frees up much-needed boot space.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift has received a 5-star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP. It packs safety features like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program(ESP) with Hill Hold Assist, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and ISOFIX child seat anchorages as standard features. Other features include Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front Parking Sensors, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Emergency Stop Signal, Safe Exit Warning, and more.

In terms of features and creature comforts, the Brezza facelift packs a 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, built-in navigation, Alexa support, ventilation for front seats, ambient lighting, an air purifier, wireless charging, and more.

Final Thoughts

The token amount for booking the Brezza facelift has been set at Rs 11,000. The variant-wise pricing will be revealed soon. The SUV rivals the Renault KigerNissan MagniteMahindra XUV 3XOHyundai VenueKia SyrosMaruti Suzuki Fronx, and Tata Nexon in India.
