Honda Shine 100: What’s on offer?

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has made no changes to the design of the Shine 100. The updated model looks identical to its outgoing model. The motorbike is available in 5 colour options – Black with Red, Black with Orange, Black with Blue, Black with Green, and Black with Grey. The Black with Gold colour theme has been replaced by a new ‘Black with Orange’ colour option.

The 98.98cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine powering the Honda Shine 100 is now compliant with the latest OBD2B emission norms. It produces a maximum power output of 7.38hp and 8.04Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The updated model puts up the same power and torque numbers as the outgoing version.

The Honda Shine 100 has a lightweight durable diamond frame which makes it easier to handle in challenging conditions. This frame is designed for variable road conditions and is extremely convenient for carrying a heavy load. Other features of the motorbike include side-stand engine cut-off, a small turning radius, ESP tech for enhanced fuel efficiency, a Combi-Brake System with Equalizer, PGM-FI, alloy wheels, and a strong grab rail.

Conclusion

The 2025 version of the Honda Shine 100 demands a premium of Rs 2,000 over the outgoing model. The everyday commuter was launched in 2023 and has quickly amassed huge popularity in India. It rivals the likes of the Bajaj Platina 100, Hero Splendor+, TVS Radeon, and other daily commuters.
