The facelifted version of the XC60 SUV is finally out in India. The Volvo XC60 facelift is priced at Rs 71.90 lakh. It was unveiled globally earlier this year. The premium SUV gets cosmetic and feature upgrades. It remains mechanically unchanged, rocking the same powertrain as its predecessor. The XC60 recently became Volvo’s best-selling car of all time.

Volvo XC60 facelift: Everything you need to know

The biggest cosmetic change on the Volvo XC60 facelift is its redesigned front grille. The vertical slats on this grille have been replaced by diagonal units, creating a mesh pattern. The LED DRLs carry forward the Thor’s Hammer design language. The changes are minimal along the sides as well, the most notable one being a new design for the 19-inch alloy wheels. Unlike the international model, the India-spec XC60 does not get smoked tail lamps.

Inside, the Volvo XC60 facelift gets a larger touchscreen infotainment display than the outgoing model. This vertically aligned, freestanding 11.2-inch display has built-in Google services. It is powered by the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm. In addition to the infotainment system, the SUV features a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. Other features include a 15-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system with a 1,410W output and Nappa leather seats with a massaging function.

On the safety front, the Volvo XC60 facelift boasts 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, ESC, and more. Its Level 2 ADAS package comprises features like blind spot monitoring, autobraking, lane and pilot assist, adaptive cruise control, and more.

Things remain the same under the hood, as the Volvo XC60 facelift continues to be powered by the 2-litre turbo petrol engine from the outgoing model. It produces a maximum power output of 250hp and 360Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed torque conversion gearbox. This transmission directs the power to all 4 wheels. The XC60’s turbo petrol engine is linked to a 48V mild hybrid system.

Volvo has introduced 3 new colour options for the XC60 facelift: Forest Lake, Aurora Silver, and Mulberry Red. Other options include Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Bright Dusk and Vapour Grey. The Platinum Grey paint shade has been discontinued. The Volvo XC60 rivals the Mercedes GLC, Audi Q5, Lexus NX, and BMW X3.
