The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella stands at dimensions of 4,285mm x 1,800mm x 1,640mm and has a 2,700mm wheelbase. It shares similarities in design with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Its sleek LED DRLs and clean front bumper distinguish it from its Maruti counterpart. These DRLs are bridged by a gloss black trim. The front bumper is flanked on either side by vertical air vents. Along the sides, the electric SUV gets thick body cladding and C-pillar-mounted door handles. At the back, the LED tail lamps follow the design language of the DRLs.

There are 5 monotone and 4 dual-tone paint schemes on offer for the electric SUV. The monotone options include Enticing Silver, Café White, Sportin Red, Gaming Grey and Bluish Black. The dual-tone models come with a black roof and one of the following as the primary colour – Enticing Silver, Sportin Red, Café White and Land Breeze Green.

The interior look of the Urban Cruiser Ebella is almost identical to that of its Maruti sibling. It has a dual-tone black and brown colour theme. The dashboard is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display. There is support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include sliding rear seats, 40:20:40 split-folding configuration, panoramic roof, ambient lighting with 12 colour options, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, a JBL sound system, keyless entry, push-start, drive mode switch, automatic climate control, an in-cabin air purifier, and more.

On the safety front, the EV packs 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, ABS, EBD, ESP, a 360° camera, parking sensors, ISOFIX, over-speed and stagger warnings, and an electric rear defogger, among other features. There is a Level 2 ADAS package on board with functions like Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more.

As mentioned earlier, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella comes in 3 trim levels – E1, E2, and E3. The entry-level trim comes with a 49kWh battery pack with a 440km driving range. The front-mounted electric motor on this variant produces a maximum power output of 144hp and 189Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the E2 and E3 variants pack a 61kWh battery with a 543km driving range. These variants are also powered by a front-mounted electric motor, but it produces a higher output at 174hp while maintaining the torque at 189Nm.

Mr Masakazu Yoshimura, Chairman, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “The introduction of All-Electric Urban Cruiser Ebella is a key enabler towards furthering our multi-pathway approach, where our aim is to contribute towards carbon neutrality while leaving no one behind.
