Toyota Hilux starting price slashed by Rs 3.59 lakh, higher trims’ price hiked

Toyota India has reduced the price of the base variant of the Toyota Hilux by Rs 3.59 lakh. The top-spec Hight MT and High AT trims get a price hike of Rs 1.35 lakh and Rs 1.10 lakh respectively. Prices for the Hilux range now start at Rs 30.40 lakh and go up to Rs 37.90 lakh. The pickup truck was launched in India last year.

Toyota Hilux: Updated price list and features

Here is what the updated price list for Toyota Hilux looks like.

Toyota Hilux is one of the biggest pickup trucks available in India, measuring 5,325mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,815mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 3,085mm. Up front, the Hilux sports a large hexagonal chrome grille, swept-back LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs, and a muscular front bumper. The chrome styling can be found at the rear of the pickup truck as well.

Inside, the Toyota Hilux gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The pickup truck also gets leather upholstery, seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, an automated limited-slip differential and much more.

Under the hood, the Toyota Hilux is powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces a maximum power output of 204hp and 420Nm peak torque, just like the Toyota Fortuner. It comes with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Toyota is currently accepting a second batch of bookings for the Hilux. The pickup truck gets four-wheel drive as standard across all variants. Currently, the Hilux only rivals Toyota Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in India.
