Tata Safari and Harrier facelifts: Price announcement next week

The new Tata Safari and Harrier facelift models get a similar design inside and out. The Safari, being the premium SUV, gets a more pronounced front grille. Both SUVs get C-shaped housings for the LED lights but the ones on Tata Safari are positioned a bit higher and have a more rectangular shape. A thin LED strip runs across the grille, serving as the DRLs on the two SUVs. At the rear, the tail lamps are now connected by a light bar.

Inside, the Tata Safari and Harrier facelifts get two size options for the freestanding touchscreen infotainment system – 10.25-inch and 12.3-inch. There is also a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster onboard. The key difference between the two facelifts is the finish on the dashboard. The two-spoke steering wheel is heavily inspired by the ‘Curvv’ concept. It has an illuminated Tata logo at the centre. Other features include a 10-speaker JBL sound system, paddle shifters, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and an ADAS package.

The SUVs remain mechanically unchanged under the hood and continue to be powered by the 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that was found on the outgoing models. This diesel engine can churn out a maximum power output of 170hp and 350Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Tata has also published the fuel economy numbers for the two SUVs. You can read about them here.
