After launching the 5-door Jimny in Australia, Suzuki has released the lifestyle SUV in the Indonesian market. The Indonesia-spec Suzuki Jimny 5-door is very similar to its Indian counterpart. Suzuki Jimny in Indonesia: All the details

The 5-door Jimny drops the ‘Maruti’ monicker for Indonesia. The manual variant of the Suzuki Jimny costs IDR 465,000,000 (INR 24.65 lakh approx), while the automatic variant fetches IDR 478,600,000 (INR 25.36 lakh approx). Meanwhile, prices for the Jimny 5-door start at AUD 36,490 (INR 19.95 lakh approx) in Australia.

Like its Indian counterpart, the Indonesia-spec Suzuki Jimny stands at dimensions of 3850mm x 1645mm x 1730mm with a wheelbase of 2,550 mm. The 3-door Jimny had a wheelbase of 2,250 mm. The overall design of the lifestyle SUV is similar to its 3-door sibling, apart from the addition of two additional doors and quarter windows at the back. It retains the ‘boxy’ look, circular headlights, and the side-opening door at the back.

Inside, the 5-door Suzuki Jimny gets a 9.0-inch touchscreen Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The second-row bench seat increases the seating capacity of the Jimny 5-door to 5 people. Safety features include 6 airbags, Brake Limited Slip Differential, ESP with hill hold assist, rearview camera, hill descent control, and ABS with EBD. Unlike its Australian counterpart, the Indonesian Suzuki Jimny misses out on an ADAS package. The push button for start/stop is missing as well.

Things remain the same under the hood as the Suzuki Jimny for Indonesia mimics the India-spec version. The K15B petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 102hp and 130Nm peak torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The SUV receives Suzuki’s All Grip Pro AWD with low-range transfer gear (4L mode).
