What’s new on the MG Hector, Astor, ZS EV, and Comet EV special editions?

Here is the price list of the new special editions from MG Motor.

Car Price
MG Hector Rs 21.20 lakh
MG Astor Rs 14.81 lakh
MG ZS EV Rs 24.18 lakh
MG Comet EV Rs 9.40 lakh

The most notable change on the special edition models is the exterior paint shade. As a nod to the ‘British Racing Green’ the four new limited edition models are available in what MG Motor calls an ‘Evergreen’ paint shade. All models also receive special badging along the exterior. The all-black interiors rock green highlights. The front headrests have ‘100 Year Edition’ embroidered on them along with the MG logo. The infotainment system OS also has a green theme.

There are no mechanical changes on the 100-Year Limited Edition models. MG Hector is available in two powertrain options – a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine can generate a maximum power of 143hp with a torque of 250Nm, while the diesel engine can churn out 170hp with a torque of 350Nm. Both engines are mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the non-hybrid petrol version also gets the option of a CVT automatic.

The Astor also gets two engine options. The 1.5L NA petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 144Nm of torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or an 8-speed CVT gearbox. The 1.3L turbo petrol engine churns out a maximum power output of 140hp and 220Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The MG ZS EV is powered by a front-mounted electric motor that produces a maximum power output of 176hp and 280Nm. The 50.3kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 461km. The EV can go from 0-100kmph in 8.5 seconds.

The IP67-rated 17.3kWh battery pack on the Comet EV offers a driving range of 230km. Using the 3.3kW charger that comes with the car, the EV can be fully charged in seven hours. Powering the Comet EV is a single electric motor that can produce a maximum power output of 42hp and 110Nm of torque.
