New S+ variant added to Hyundai Venue lineup, gets sunroof

Hyundai Motor India has added a new S+ variant to the Venue SUV’s lineup. The Hyundai Venue S+ is priced at Rs 9.35 lakh, making it the most affordable variant in the SUV’s lineup to come with a sunroof. Earlier this month, Hyundai introduced the S(O) variant for the Venue at the price of Rs 9.99 lakh.

Hyundai Venue S+: What’s on offer?

The Hyundai Venue S+ sits below S(O) in the SUV’s variant hierarchy. It is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 83hp and 114Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There are no automatic transmission options for this engine. The S+ variant is not available with other engine options.

 

Other variants of the Hyundai Venue SUV are available with two additional engine options. 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 120hp and 172Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine puts out 116hp and 250Nm of torque.

The Hyundai Venue S+ is equipped with features like the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, rear AC vents, automatic headlamps, and more. The highlight of this variant is the sunroof. The S+ is the most affordable Venue variant to feature a sunroof.

Conclusion

Prices for the Hyundai Venue in India start at Rs 7.94 lakh and go up to Rs 13.48 lakh. Higher-placed variants of the SUV are available with an ADAS package as well. In India, the Hyundai Venue rivals Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, and Mahindra XUV300.
