After hiking prices for the Range Rover Velar in December 2023, the automaker has now reduced the prices by Rs 6.40 lakh for both powertrains. The Velar SUV was launched in India in July 2023 at Rs 93 lakh. The SUV is available in diesel and petrol powertrains. Both powertrains are priced the same. In December, the price of the Range Rover Velar was bumped to Rs 94.30 lakh. The SUV now costs Rs 87.90 lakh.

The 2023 Range Rover Velar gets significant cosmetic changes along its exterior. It features sleeker headlights with pixel LED highlights. The LED DRL design has been tweaked as well. The profile of the SUV remains largely unchanged but it gets a new LED tail lamps and bumper design at the back.
Inside, the Range Rover features an 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment that runs the automaker’s Pivi Pro System along with a 12.3-inch driver’s display. The infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The automaker has made the climate control switches and terrain response system accessible via the new infotainment system. Other features include a 360-degree camera, Meridian sound system, power recliner for rear seats, wireless charging, massaging front seats, an air purifier, active road noise cancellation, and more.
Under the hood, the Range Rover Velar gets two powertrain options – a 2.0-litre petrol engine and another 2.0-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine can produce a maximum power output of 250hp and 365Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the diesel engine puts out 204hp and 430Nm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Deliveries for the Velar SUV started rolling out in September 2023. In India, the Range Rover Velar rivals the Mercedes-Benz GLE (Rs 96.40 lakh) and BMW X5 (Rs 96 lakh). It also locks horns with the Jaguar F-Pace, which is priced at Rs 72.90 lakh, and the Porsche Macan priced at Rs 88.06 lakh.
