Tata Nexon facelift: Powertrain details

While there are no changes under the hood, the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift will get new transmission options. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine will now get the option to be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine will continue with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT gearboxes. The 1.2-litre petrol engine on Tata Nexon generates a maximum power output of 118hp and 170Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine churns out 108hp and 260Nm.

Outgoing Nexon

The entry-level petrol variants of the Tata Nexon facelift will get the 5-speed manual gearbox. The 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox will only be available on the higher-spec variants. The mid-spec variants will get the 6-speed manual transmission. The engine output numbers for the two engines may vary slightly from their outgoing counterparts.

Outgoing Nexon

Cosmetically, the new Tata Nexon facelift will get some significant changes inside and out. This includes a new split headlamp design up front along with a new design for the alloy wheels. The LED tail lamps at the back will be connected by a light bar. Inside, the Nexon facelift gets a new dashboard layout. The touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster also get an upgrade. The steering wheel will feature a two-spoke design.
