2024 Porsche Panamera: Everything you need to know

The new 2024 Porsche Panamera stands at dimensions of 5,052mm x 1,937mm x 1,423mm. The new model gets some crucial design changes along its exterior. The central air intake unit is now positioned above the number plate. It is also a bigger unit than the one on the outgoing model. The headlamp and tail lamp design has also been tweaked on the new Panamera. The LEDs now look sleeker than the previous model.

Inside, the new Porsche Panamera features a new touchscreen infotainment system unit which is similar to the one on the Taycan. Buyers also get to opt for an additional 10.9-inch touchscreen alongside the primary 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The secondary touchscreen can act as an entertainment panel for the front passenger. The gear lever on the Panamera is now positioned close to the steering wheel, which is also borrowed from the Taycan. This new orientation allows the driver to toggle between different modes without taking their eyes off the road. There are three driving modes on offer – Normal, Sport, and Sport Plus. The rear seat passengers get more legroom in the new Panamera.

The 2.9-litre V6 engine on the India-spec Porsche Panamera produces a maximum power output of 348hp and 500Nm of torque. This is 22hp and 50Nm more than its outgoing counterpart. The new Panamera can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 5.2 seconds. Its top speed has been capped at 272kmph. The E-Hybrid version of the sedan produces a combined output of 680hp and 930Nm of torque. It can go from 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds. The hybrid model has an electric-only range of 93km.

Conclusion

As mentioned earlier, Porsche will open the booking window for the new Panamera next week. Deliveries are expected to roll out in March. If previous trends are anything to go by, the automaker will also add the slightly larger ‘Executive’ version of the sedan to its Indian catalogue. The Porsche Panamera rivals the Audi A7 and Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance in India.
