Mahindra XUV 7XO, the facelifted version of the XUV700, is set to make its global debut on January 5, 2026. Ahead of the world premiere, Mahindra has dropped a teaser for the SUV, giving a snapshot of its interior and confirming some key specs. The latest teaser for the XUV 7XO gives a closer look at its new two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Mahindra ‘Twin Peaks’ logo. The beige and brown dual-tone colour theme is present on the dashboard, console, upholstery, and door trims. The teaser also confirms a Harmon Kardon audio system for the XUV 7XO. The XUV700 comes with a 12-speaker Sony audio system. The new setup will likely use a 16-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support.
The new triple-screen setup is also visible in the latest teaser drop. It looks similar to the panoramic displays on Mahindra’s 2 premium electric SUVs – XEV 9e and XEV 9S. On the XUV 7XO, this setup will likely comprise three 12.3-inch displays catering to the digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, and passenger entertainment system.
The new Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to pack premium features like auto-dimming IVRMs, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, wireless charging, connected car tech, and Level 2 ADAS. The rear seats will support BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). There are no physical HVAC controls, but the centre console has capacitive touch buttons for the 360-degree camera, drive modes, hazard lights, and other functions.
Things will remain the same under the hood of the new XUV 7XO. It will retain the 2 engine options that are currently on offer with the XUV700. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 200hp and 380Nm of torque. The 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine is available in two tune levels. The entry-level variants put out 155hp and 360Nm of torque, while the top-spec variants generate 185hp and 420Nm. The torque output jumps to 450Nm on the automatic variants. Both engines can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
