MG Motor has confirmed that the Windsor EV will get a 15.6-inch infotainment system. The automaker claims that this is the largest infotainment system in the CUV’s segment. This display unit will get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It will also have controls for the HVAC, lights, turn indicators, and more. The Windsor will also get an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display. The steering wheel design of the CUV is similar to the one on the MG Comet EV.
The MG Windsor EV will also get a panoramic glass roof, rear AC vents, reclining seats for the second row, and centre armrests. Other features will include ambient lighting, wireless charging, a powered tailgate, a 360-degree camera, and a Level 2 ADAS package.
The MG Windsor EV will share its powertrain with the Cloud EV. This means it will be available in two battery pack options – 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh. These battery packs offer a driving range of 360km and 460km respectively. The front-mounted single electric motor on the EV will produce a maximum power output of 134hp.
Previous teasers dropped by MG Motor confirm that Windsor’s exterior design will be almost identical to its Indonesian counterpart. The CUV’s bumper will house the two compact LED headlamps. A thin LED strip will run across the bonnet, connecting the LED DRLs. MG Windsor EV will stand at dimensions of 4,295mm x 1,850mm x 1,652mm and have a 2,700mm wheelbase.
