MG Motor India has hiked the prices of its newest EV, just three days after its launch. The MG Windsor EV Pro was launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 17.49 lakh earlier this week. This introductory price offer was valid for the first 8,000 bookings. Bookings for the EV started on May 8. Within a day, MG Motor received over 8,000 bookings for the Windsor Pro, thereby ending the introductory offer. The EV is now dearer by Rs 60,000.

MG Windsor EV Pro: Check out the new prices
The regular MG Windsor EV Pro is priced at Rs 18.10 lakh. Its BaaS (Battery as a Service) model is now priced at Rs 13.09 lakh, after a hike of Rs 60,000. The automaker has set the subscription cost at Rs 4.50/km.
The new MG Windsor EV Pro looks identical to the standard model. The only change on the EV is the new alloy-wheel design, which is inspired by the MG Hector. Elements like the compact LED headlamps, sleek LED DRLs, and the LED light bars at the front and back have been carried forward from the standard model. The automaker has introduced 3 new paint schemes for the Pro model: Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver.
Inside, the MG Windsor EV Pro gets a dual-tone ivory theme with beige upholstery on the seats, front armrest, and roof and column liners. It also flaunts new premium features like the Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle to Load (V2L) functionality. This tech allows the EV to charge other electric cars and electronic devices. The Pro model also rocks a Level 2 ADAS package and a powered tailgate. However, the boot space has shrunk from 604 litres to 579 litres due to the larger battery pack.
The biggest upgrade on the MG Windsor EV Pro is its larger battery pack. This 52.9kWh unit offers a 449km driving range. In comparison, the 38kWh battery pack on the standard model has a 331km driving range. The bigger battery pack takes up to 9.5 hours to fully charge using the 7.2kW home charger. Meanwhile, a 60kW DC fast charger can take it from 20 to 80% in 50 minutes.
The mechanical output of the MG Windsor EV Pro remains unchanged from the standard model. The front-mounted electric motor produces a maximum power output of 136hp and 200Nm of torque.

Final Thoughts
The standard model of the MG Windsor EV was one of the highest-selling all-electric cars in India in FY2025. Its Pro model selling out over 8,000 units within a day is an indication of its imminent success in the Indian market. The EV rivals the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra XUV400, and Tata Nexon EV in India.
